Our history:
Between 1979 and 1997, the firm had offices in Glenwood Springs, Rangely and Colorado Springs, Colorado and Prescott Valley, Arizona. In 1997, Karl Rockwell and Elmer Claycomb formed Claycomb/Rockwell Associates, Inc., as a full service civil engineering firm in Prescott Valley, Arizona.
Claycomb/Rockwell Associates, Inc., has assembled a staff of highly qualified engineers, technicians, surveyors and administrative personnel. The firm is committed to using state-of-the-art computer equipment and methods, but tempered with input from engineers with years of "hands on" experience. Design drawings are prepared using AutoCAD with Eagle Point add on software, and MicroStation. Geographic Information System (GIS) applications are accomplished using ArcView and related GIS programs. In addition we use many advanced hydrology and hydraulic computer programs are used regularly including HEC-RAS, Storm-CADD, HEC-HMS and TR-20 as well as programs written by the firm. Our server-based computer system is continuously updated with the latest equipment. Survey crews are equipped with the latest Trimble GPS and Total Station equipment. CRA has effectively provided digital media services to clients locally and throughout the U.S. via the Internet. We are highly effective in providing clients coordination with local government agencies and utility companies.
